Saint Hilary School Choir

The Youth Choir is for students in Grades 3– 8. Led by Pamela Carey, our Music Director, this group rehearses once per week during the school day. These students will develop vocal technique, work on ear training and sight singing. Students learn to sing both independently and with others with an emphasis on pitch, rhythm, appropriate timbre, diction, and posture while maintaining a steady tempo. Among numerous opportunities to perform, students are encouraged to sing for Sunday Liturgy twice a month, plus at masses for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. We will be performing at Davies Symphony Hall On May 18th, 2011 and hope to be singing at a Giants Game in the Spring of 2011 as part of the San Francisco Unified Schools, San Francisco and Oakland Archdiocese Choral Project.

Angels Choir

The Angels Choir is for Primary Kindergarten to Grade 3 students. This group practices once per week after school. These 4-10 years old sing once a month at a 9:00AM mass.  In both groups, students are taught vocal technique. They work on ear training and sight singing, with emphasis on pitch, rhythm, timbre, diction, and posture. Choristers learn to sing independently, as well as blend their voices.
