 Our Community

Saint Hilary School is a full engagement community. Our students’ enriched education is made possible by the dedicated participation of our parents, teachers and school leaders working together.

Parents are an integral force in the day-to-day activities of Saint Hilary School. Whether it’s helping in the classroom, overseeing lunch or library, serving on boards, or helping with fundraisers and social activities, parents are present in our school every day. As a member of this community, your time, treasure and talent is essential, and provided as follows:

• 40 volunteer hours per family; 20 for a single parent

• School auction – attendance, donations, and/or soliciting donations

• Angel Fund participation

Parent Guild

The Parent Guild is a vital part of our success. In addition to community building activities and fundraising, the Parent Guild facilitates the extensive volunteer network that allows each family the flexibility to fulfill service hours, with a variety of opportunities both on and off campus.

Throughout the year, the Parent Guild hosts a variety of social events that foster engagement among our community. Calendar highlights include days to celebrate grandparents, bless our pet, dances for mothers and sons/ fathers and daughters, and luncheons for teacher appreciation. Parent Guild also hosts successful fundraising events, including the Annual Auction, Literacy Fair, Author’s Lunch, the school-wide hot lunch program, and our popular afternoon electives.

Parish Community

Our school also benefits from participating in events hosted by the wider Parish Community, including annual picnics, masses and Lenten soup suppers, to name a few. The many wonderful Parish outreach programs also provide opportunities for our middle school students to volunteer and complete their community service hours in meaningful ways.
