Physical Education

Saint Hilary School Physical Education

A comprehensive Athletics Program is offered to Kindergarten through Grade 8 students.

Saint Hilary physical education contributes to students’ well being.  High quality PE instruction contributes to good health, develops fundamental and advanced motor skills, improves self-confidence and provides opportunities for increased levels of fitness that are associated with high academic achievement.

The mission of Saint Hilary PE and Athletic Department is to create a dynamic environment that introduces competition, promotes spirituality, teamwork and self-discipline.  We strive for a quality experience for our student-athletes in the Catholic faith. We are committed to building character, developing responsibility, and promoting sportsmanship, which are life long traits.

Early childhood Physical Education (PE) classes emphasize motor skills, balance, body awareness and hand-eye coordination. Team activities focus on conditioning, health, and sportsmanship. PE classes for our Grade 3-8 students include a variety of team exercises and sports. These students can also join our CYO program, where they can compete in a positive team-oriented athletic environment.

As a complement to our PE curriculum, students in Grades 3 through 8 have access to a range of extra-curricular sports through Saint Hilary club teams and Catholic Youth Organization (CYO). Basketball, flag football, volleyball, cross country, track and field, golf and soccer are just a few of the wonderful programs available.
