Why Choose SHS?

Thank you for considering Saint Hilary School and its tradition of successfully educating the children of Marin for more than 58 years. Saint Hilary School is a faith-filled community where children receive a strong ethical and academic foundation allowing them to develop their unique personal and intellectual gifts. As educators and as parents, we know first hand that the foundation Saint Hilary's provides is truly a life-long gift. With our focus on rigorous academics, character development, and service learning Saint Hilary graduates emerge with a sound understanding of personal responsibility and the skills required to put their gifts into practice.

Saint Hilary is particularly equipped to deliver a high-value product given our "whole child" approach, low teacher-student ratio, and extraordinarily gifted faculty. Put simply, Saint Hilary School is a safe and joyful place for students to succeed. We have a state-of the-art technology program which is reflected by our Apple Distinguished School status. Our modern campus boasts of a regulation-sized gym, science lab, parish center and an adjoined Middle School campus. Our range of enrichment courses in the arts, music, and athletics broaden our students’ capacity for learning both inside and out of the classroom. In 2021, we saw 95% of our graduates go on to their first-choice high school, with nearly half accepted with honors. In this way, we can see how our students leave with not only an outstanding academic foundation, but also with sound values that ground them for life-long success.

We know how important it is to find the right school for your family. We appreciate the thoughtfulness you bring to the process to find the school and community that aligns with your values. Please visit our beautiful campus with its stunning views of the bay and witness Saint Hilary students in action. We are certain you will walk away with the same sense of joyful purpose that we are fortunate enough to share with our students and the community.
