Saint Hilary School Scholarship Programs

Change a child’s life forever with the gift of a Saint Hilary School education.

Saint Hilary School believes that a Catholic education changes a child's life forever and provides them with a strong religious, moral, and academic foundation for success in their future life.

Saint Hilary School would like to offer these families assistance in realizing their dream of sending their children to a local Catholic school and is able to do so through the generosity of both our parish and school families. Please help this effort by utilizing one of our scholarship programs listed below.

All contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.

Saint Hilary School Scholarship Fund

The Saint Hilary School Scholarship Fund was established to assist families who find it increasingly difficult to afford a Catholic education without some form of assistance. The effects of increased tuition (to offset rising operating costs) are making it difficult for more families to send their children to Catholic schools. The fund also supports existing Saint Hilary School families who need temporary assistance due to an unexpected event such as a job loss or a family medical emergency.

Sharon Lewis "Educate A Child" Scholarship Fund

The Sharon Lewis "Educate A Child" Fund was the first scholarship fund to be created exclusively for Saint Hilary School students. It was established by Sharon Lewis, a longtime parishioner of St. Hilary Church, in order to assist families within Marin City and the San Rafael Canal District who would otherwise be unable to afford a Catholic education. Sharon's passion for Saint Hilary School and its ability to offer a Catholic education for all who wish to attend drove her to tirelessly fundraise each year for this fund. Please donate below to help Sharon's mission.

Victoria Ann La Rocca Financial Aid Fund

Victoria Ann (“Tori”) La Rocca graduated from Saint Hilary School in 2014. Her passion for life, compassion for others, and indelible spirit were a model for all of us. To honor Tori’s spirit this fund was established. All proceeds from Saint Hilary School’s Annual Crab Feast (which was re-named in Tori’s honor) go to the Victoria Ann La Rocca Financial Aid Fund which provides tuition assistance to Saint Hilary families for the tuition balance remaining after awards from the BASIC Fund and Archdiocesan Family grants are given. Honor Tori by giving below.

David O'Connor Scholarship

The David O’Connor Scholarship Fund was established in 2016 after the death of its namesake, David O’Connor, a longtime parishioner of St. Hilary Church. Mr. O’Connor grew up in impoverished circumstances without indoor plumbing in a rural area of Oregon. Through the kindness of a neighbor, he was able to attend the University of Oregon and went on to a successful career in the business world. The O’Connor family paid forward the kindness of this neighbor by establishing a scholarship fund to assist families from Marin City who would otherwise be unable to afford a Catholic education at Saint Hilary School. The recipient of the David O’Connor Scholarship must be a graduate of Horizon Community School in Marin City. To give to this special scholarship, please donate below.
