After-School Electives at Saint Hilary School are an important part of our whole-child offering. We provide a range of classes for students of all grades including favorites such as drama, cheer, golf, cross country running, Legos, and much more.

Little Chefs and Young Chefs

Get ready to chop, mix, and taste your way through a delicious journey! Little Chefs is a fun and interactive cooking class where kids learn to prepare healthy, tasty meals using fresh, organic, and locally-sourced ingredients. Our kid-friendly recipes are all vegetarian and free from gluten and nuts—perfect for curious taste buds. Students will also learn kitchen safety, basic knife skills, and good hygiene practices. Every session is a hands-on experience that builds confidence, encourages creativity, and inspires a lifelong love of healthy food. *Please list any food allergies when registering.

Creating Giftable Art & Decor with Ms. Blitzer

Step into Studio B, where creativity, craftsmanship, and heart come together! In this hands-on, project-based class, students will explore a variety of materials and techniques while creating meaningful, giftable art and décor. From resin coasters to seashell dishes and hand-stamped stationery, each project celebrates the joy of making something by hand—just in time for the cozy season of giving. Whether they’re crafting for someone special or keeping their creations close, students will enjoy a joyful space to experiment, personalize, and express themselves through art. Fee includes all high quality class materials.

Classes as Follows:

Week 1: Clay Creations – Mini Animal Vases
Students will hand-build and paint their own mini animal vases using air-dry clay.

Week 2: Keychain Charms – Monogram Magic
Using charms, beads, and knit, students will create bold, personalized keychains, perfect for gifts or backpacks.

Week 3: Textile Design – Hand-Stamped Tote Bags or Tea Towels
Students will stamp bold patterns onto canvas using block printing techniques to design one-of-a-kind fabric items, functional, giftable, and fun!

Week 4: Resin Art – Poured Epoxy Coasters
Design and pour stunning resin coasters using pressed flowers. A little science, a lot of fun!

Week 5: Seaside Keepsake – Seashell Decoupage Dishes
Transform small dishes into coastal treasures using real shells, vintage napkins, and decoupage techniques.

Week 6: Gnome Studio – Clay or Sock Gnomes
Choose your medium—soft sock or clay—and craft a cozy fall gnome full of personality and charm.

Week 7: Wrap Lab I – Hand-Stamped Wrapping Paper
Design your own custom gift wrap using seasonal stamps, bold colors, and kraft paper.

Week 8: Wrap Lab II – Stationery & Greeting Cards
Craft beautiful handmade cards and matching stationery sets to pair with your gift wrap. Think printmaking meets snail mail magic!

Week 9: Holiday Ornaments – Handmade & Heartfelt
Create festive ornaments using clay, wood, or mixed media—perfect for gifting or decorating with a personal touch.

SHS Golf Club

It’s never too early to get your child onto the greens. Get them started with 9 Holes or Lessons (includes putting, chipping and driving range with the McInnis golf pros). Students will learn the basics of the game as well as etiquette on the course. Mr. Finn, Mr. Kris and a parent volunteer will walk with the kids when they play 9 holes. GOLF CLUB REGISTRATION

SHS Cross Country

Get your student out on the beautiful trails and paths of Tiburon. We typically have a great mix of students from 3rd - 8th grade. Meets are separated by 3rd-5th Grade Meets and 6th-8th Grade Meets. We are still working out dates for the meets. All meets are held after school during the week.

We want EVERYONE to have FUN!!! We will cover proper techniques of running, as well as the basic understanding of the “Ins & Outs” of a cross country meet. Practices are not mandatory, but we encourage everyone to attend as many days as possible.

Grades 3rd - 8th | $150

  • Thursdays - will run up to the “Hippie Tree” (located just above the school) and run trails on Tiburon Ridge.

Meets: Dates for the 3rd-5th grade Cross Country Meets, as well as the 6th-8th grade Cross Country Meets, will be available in early September.

  • Meet distances are typical 1-1.25miles (3rd-5th grade) and 1.25-1.5 miles (6th-8th grade)

Crafternoon

Get ready for an afternoon filled with creativity, color, and a little bit of magic in Crafternoon fun! Kids will dive into hands-on craft projects that spark imagination and bring their artistic visions to life. Projects may include beaded accessories, Shrinky Dink keychains and slime-making. With plenty of fun materials, creative freedom, and lots of laughter, this class is the perfect way for kids to explore their crafty side!

Crafternoon Registration

PAAM Drama | K - 8 | Performing "Annie"

Dive into the world of musical theater with PAAM! Students will learn a song and dance routine with singing, choreography, and character work culminating with an onstage performance. Rehearsals include vocal techniques for range, timing, and dictation as well as developing physicality, characterization, and applying dance typical to musical theater. No auditions or casting. Costumes are sourced from your child’s home wardrobe.

PAAM Drama Registration

Homework Help with Ms. Delzeith for Grades K-5th

Ms. Delzeith will be providing after school homework help and extra review of school work starting the week of September 2nd and ending December 16th. Students will arrive with their homework for the week and receive support to complete any homework or projects they have for the week. If there is a test coming up, the students will have time to review practice problems and receive extra help with any concepts they may still be working on. When students have completed all of their work, they will be dismissed to extended care.

Super Science Grades 1-5

Super Science sparks curiosity and critical thinking by introducing students to the wonders of future energy sources and learn about solar, wind, Starlink, and med beds. Through interactive learning, students discover how these innovations shape the world and why they matter. Each class features engaging, instructor-guided projects that bring these concepts to life, encouraging hands-on exploration, blending science, art, and communication skills while inspiring excitement for the next discovery.

Super Science Registration

Sustainable Fashion Design

In this hands-on fashion design class, students will dive into the exciting world of sustainable style through 3D design thinking. Using deadstock fabrics and recycled garments, students will learn how to decrease waste and redistribute fashion in creative new ways. From sketching and pattern making to garment construction and upstyling, this class empowers students to turn discarded materials into wearable art. Each session combines design challenges, repair techniques, and environmental education to promote conscious creativity. Skills Taught: Basic to intermediate sewing and pattern making, fashion sketching and design planning, textile recycling and sustainable practices, garment upcycling and repair and creative problem-solving through 3D design principles.

Flag Football by Electivity

The Electivity Flag Football program begins with skill development sessions designed to teach participants the fundamentals of flag football. These sessions focus on essential skills such as passing, catching, running routes, and defensive strategies. Participants engage in a variety of drills and practice sessions to refine their skills and build teamwork. Throughout the program, participants have the opportunity to put their skills to the test in friendly scrimmages and games. These game-like situations allow participants to apply what they've learned in a competitive yet supportive setting. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or new to the game, our Flag Football Program offers something for everyone. Join us for a memorable experience filled with fun, friendship, and football!

Flag Football Registration

Art Exploration Grades 1-5

After taking this class, your student can be the docent next time you visit a museum! Your student will learn art appreciation through the elements of art such as line, color, form, and shape working with clay, canvas, wood, and more. Through creating art they will be able to express themselves in their own unique voice and then share their vision with the group. Students will work independently and yet learn from each other in a supportive environment. The teacher is Barbara Carbone, who is an artist, a mother of four, and has been teaching art in both schools and museums.

Bricks Challenge or Roblox Game Design

Bricks Challenge

Science becomes fun as kids create models and see the practical application of mechanics and physics. It is a very exciting program where children get to build models and tinker with them to understand the science behind it. With Bricks Challenge participants learn about mechanics, engineering, science concepts and math as they engage in this fun, hands-on immersive learning experience.

This interactive game design course leverages the excitement of Roblox, transforming gameplay into a hands-on coding experience. SHS Cheer with Mrs. Choi

Raise those pom poms and show your school spirit with a cheer of “Go Tigers”! Join Mrs. Choi for cheerleading where your future SF 49er cheerleader will learn basic jumps, cheers, and dance for the talent show and pep rally. Your student can proudly wear their SHS Cheer jackets on Fridays when they are attending Cheer. Mrs.Choi has been teaching cheer at St. Hilary for the last 8 years and was a cheerleader in Middle School and High School and studied dance for six years.

Poekie Nook

In this class, your students will learn to master various hand-sewing techniques, while building confidence and pride in their accomplishments. Starting with easy, beginner animals, they will learn to sew up to more advanced animals, embellished with beautiful glass beads. This class is a great introduction into the world of Poekie-making. Wonder what a Poekie is? They're not just any stuffed animals, they will inspire your students to create their own world!
